Senior Project: Soul of Athens

This project was created for Soul of Athens, a website produced annually by Ohio University students in the School of Visual Communication. Soul of Athens brings together underclassmen and graduate students in all tracks of Visual Communication to work towards a shared goal. The group is broken down into several teams, each of which is assigned their own unique topic. All contributions to Soul of Athens are student-made, and draw upon the skills that the students have been building throughout the entirety of their college careers. The overall goal of the project is to create a live, functional, and responsive website that is centered around the team’s topic of choice. The Lore of Appalachia website is a result of this academic opportunity.

My main role was taking on UX/UI design which involved research, creation of persona templates, wireframes and mockups, as well as some coding. I also created each story's newspaper headline in addition to writing the story, conducting the interview, and helping gather photos and video for the Majestic Theatre page. I also created the master document. Scroll down to see a few pages from the master document that I felt were the most relevant.
